November 12, 2005 brought a significant change to Storycraft Communications, the
Zahn family, and our hometown of Stratford, Iowa. An F3 tornado bowled through
the town, taking one life, damaging or destroying nearly 50 homes, and resulting in
the demolition of our home. Until August of 2006, our homesite looked like this...
But our new home now looks like this:
With the generous help of a modular home company, Sunrise Homes of Iowa Falls,
we were able to overcome a bitter battle with our insurance company and purchase
the home picured above. In the months to come, we will be hard at work finishing
the basement, building a front porch, and repairing what was once a beautiful
landscape. Many thanks to our neighbors, the Stratford Fire Department, many
generous people, the thousands of volunteers that have helped rebuild Stratford,
and all who have been in prayer for our family. The progress continues!
